Gravel path with steel edging along an iron fence

Ascend Landscape & Irrigation · San Angelo, TX

Xeriscaping in San Angelo

Drought-tolerant plants, rock, boulders, and drip irrigation that save water.

What we do.

West Texas summers are hard on thirsty lawns. A well-planned xeriscape trades high-water grass for drought-tolerant plants, rock, gravel, and mulch, so your yard looks finished year-round and needs far less watering.

Because we also install and repair irrigation, we can set up drip lines that water plants right at the roots and adjust your sprinkler zones to match the new layout.

Ask us anything

Does a xeriscape have to look bare?

No. A good xeriscape mixes drought-tolerant plants, shrubs, and trees with rock, boulders, and mulch, so it has color and texture without the water bill of a full lawn. We lay it out so it looks planned, not empty.

Will I still need irrigation?

Usually, but much less of it. New plants need regular water while they get established, and drip irrigation delivers it right at the roots with little waste. We can adjust your existing sprinkler zones as part of the project.

Can I keep part of my lawn?

Yes. Many yards keep a smaller patch of grass for kids and pets and xeriscape the rest. We’ll help you decide what makes sense for how you use the space.
